As the older sister and a Spanish major in college, I've always had an affinity for Spanish culture and style. While studying abroad in Valencia in 2024, I noticed Spanish women wearing these simple loop necklaces everywhere. I instantly saw the potential.

When I got home, I showed my younger sister the photos. She's always been the minimalist, drawn to effortless style, while I've always been the maximalist, drawn to statement jewelry and chokers. We realized that the simple Spanish "lazo" (loop) was the perfect foundation for our brand.

We thought—why not combine our two styles? We would take that simple, easy loop and combine it with the bold color and personalized statements we both loved.

That's how the LAZO Initial Necklace started. Lazo means loop in Spanish, which felt right for a piece inspired by those Valencia streets and designed to bridge the gap between our two distinct styles.
